Can women wear men's luxury watches, and pull it off? Of course. Women have been adapting elements of men's fashion for decades, and, in the process, looking fantastic. From men's ties, suits, shirts, shoes, and, of course...watches. Women have done it all. Watches, make a statement, and can be as understated or as over-the-top as desired. The choices are endless, for women and men. Whether it is the iconic Rolex editorial, featuring Cindy Crawford wearing a Rolex Submariner at the beach, Charlize Theron wearing her Rolex Deep Sea at a Lakers game, Victoria Bekham with her rose-gold Rolex Daytona, women have taken watches(that have traditionally been worn by men) and made them their own.
“Clothes aren't going to change the world, the women who wear them will.” - Anne Klein

Although the watch market has traditionally been dominated by men, women have gradually been creating a shift in recent years in those statistics, as well as the brands, styles and case sizes of watches they purchase. The change in more women purchasing watches, such as Rolex, Cartier and Breitling, is being credited to celebrities wearing larger pieces. Furthermore, there has been a rise in celebrities with luxury brand watch endorsements, helping propel perception of watches as high-ticket, luxury items and investments.
Women may not be the driving-force behind the luxury watch brand market, but they are certainly creating seismic shifts in the world of time pieces.
